Tilapia Tacos

I made tacos last night and it went really well except for the tortillas, which i'm now planning on learning to make myself. This recipe was inspired by something i saw in martha stewart's everyday food There are several components.

Fish: 2 tilapia fillets, marinate several hours in soy sauce (grated ginger & garlic optional). Steam until cooked through & flakes easily

Slaw: finely shred 1/2 head of red cabbage, toss with juice of one lime, 1/2 tsp of cumin seeds, generous amount of cilantro & parsley

peppers: heat 1 tablespoon of canola oil over meduim heat until shimmery, add onions and several colors of bell pepper. toss to coat, and fry until skin is blistered and peppers are soft.

serve on tortillas with salsa and sour cream. Delicious, nutritious, and nicely lo cal. a little on the more expensive side (by my standards) but worth it.

I made pickled onions to serve with them and they were amazing! Very easy, no special ingredients required, i already had everything!! I was looking up an old recipe for pickled grapes i had loved before, and when i saw i had all the ingredients for the pickled onions, i just decided to go for it! They're great as a condiment, but too strong for a snack.
